This practical, strengths-based workshop supports caregivers of young children who experience challenges with attention, impulse control, & self-regulation. Using a developmental & neurodiversity-affirming lens, the session focuses on understanding the “why” behind children’s behaviors & equipping providers with concrete, easy-to-implement strategies.
Caregivers will learn how to:
- Support attention and task engagement through environmental and routine-based strategies
- Use proactive behavior supports and clear, consistent expectations
- Strengthen emotional regulation through co-regulation and connection
- Reduce power struggles and increase cooperation in daily routines
- Build their child’s confidence and independence over time
- This workshop integrates the science of child development with the art of relationship, helping caregivers feel more confident & effective in responding to their child’s needs across home & community settings.
