Storytime Workshop Puppets, Rhymes, Songs and Stories
Darren Smith, Branch Assistant at the Williams Lake branch of the Cariboo Regional District library will share his wealth of experience using puppets for Babytime and Storytime. Darren likes themes for Storytimes and loves using puppets to introduce a Storytime or to add to a rhyme or song. He also likes to use them to say goodbye with both music sung and recorded. All of this will be demonstrated, and Darren will bring his favorite stories, rhymes and songs to the workshop. As he is always open to learning new things, we will also turn the tables and have the participants share their favorite rhymes, songs and stories. So great ready to learn, share and participate in this fun interactive workshop.
Darren is a Library Technician who has worked in public libraries since 1997. He has been doing Children’s Programming since 2001 where he started with Babytime and Storytime. He continues to focus on Children’s Programming in his current role at the Wiliams Lake Library in addition to getting to select titles for both the Children’s and Young Adult collections.
