Oral Heath in Early Childhood – Virtual

This workshop introduces participants to Oral Health in Early Childhood. The session will explore the foundations of early childhood oral development, the most common dental concerns in infancy and preschool years, and best practice strategies for prevention. This workshop coincides with the Early Learning Framework’s Principles of Learning; in that, it supports the learning of well-being of self and families, as well as learning one’s roles and responsibilities and recognizing the consequences of one’s actions. Early Childhood Educators will learn about how to support children when it comes to oral health, which coincides with educators being researchers and collaborators with both the facilitator, the children and the families within their care. Sharing these resources with the families and sharing the fact that they are taking a workshop that supports them, in turn supports the Early Learning Frameworks principle that families have the most important role in the child’s learning.
