Diversity and Cultural Awareness

Diversity, equity, and inclusion promote the fair treatment and full participation of all people, especially with historically underrepresented or marginalized populations. DEI training is necessary for educators who want to enhance their inclusive practice and support all families to feel welcome. In this workshop, educators are asked to consider how their biases may be visible in their work. In this session, educators will:

• Think with anti-bias and anti-racist perspectives
• Learn about cultural appropriation and how to avoid it
• Discuss ways to make diversity projects meaningful
