Activity Leader, On-Call
Major Responsibilities- in this position, you will:
Collaborate effectively with team members to foster an inclusive environment that offers support, strategies, and resources for children with diverse needs to fully engage in the program.
Provide individualized support to children as needed within the program setting.
Contribute to a community culture of inclusion by recognizing and supporting each child’s unique strengths and areas for growth.
Support children in resolving conflicts and consistently model respectful, positive behavior.
Assist in the creation, implementation, and ongoing review of individualized care plans to ensure consistent and responsive support.
Help maintain an enhanced staff-to-child ratio to ensure all children receive the attention they need, including one-on-one support when appropriate.
Qualification-you bring:
Must be at least 19 years of age
Experience working with children 5 – 12
Emergency First Aid and CRC – C & AED
20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance and/or Nutrition an asset
Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
