Autism

This interactive training workshop provides an overview of the characteristics of autism and a range of practical tools to support positive behaviour in recreation settings. Leaders will be introduces to strategies to enhance communication increase predictability and structure, use visual supports, increase motivation and positive behavior, and provide support during difficult situations.

This is presented by Canucks Autism Network (CAN) who provides programs for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, while promoting acceptance and inclusion through community engagement and training initiatives accross BC and beyond.
