Young, Wild, and Growing
Presenter: Minnie Mossop
In group child care settings, early childhood educators deal with behavioural issues every single day. This workshop provides an opportunity to see common challenging behaviours among infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with an early childhood mental health approach. This workshop is not intended to change children directly but change them via our interactions with them.
Dr. Minnie Mossop is a passionate infant and toddler specialist with a Ph.D. and MA in Infant and Early Childhood Development and an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. Her research interests cover various mental health areas (e.g., attachment, brain development, co-regulation) of young children, especially infants and toddlers. She is a faculty member of the Early Childhood Education Program at Douglas College.
