In this webinar, educators will learn about strategies to implement and develop knowledge of a forest schools’ approach within the early learning setting. This webinar is based on the 2022 award-winning research from Sheridan College, conducted by facilitator Lobna Ajaini, about Forest School philosophy. In this webinar, educators will also think about different factors impacting ECE’s professional practice in implementing the forest school approach. This webinar can be helpful for the community as it will support everyone with knowledge about the benefits of embracing a nature-based perspective through real-life examples and scenarios.

Lobna is a highly accomplished Early Childhood Leader, holding an Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership Degree and an Early Childhood Education Diploma from Sheridan College. Currently pursuing an MPED in ECE at Western University, Lobna is dedicated to furthering her education and expertise in the field. As a multi-award-winning educator, Lobna has been recognized for her outstanding contributions, including the Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Research Award in 2022, the Sylvia Leal Leadership Award in 2019, and the Davis Campus Commemorative Award in 2016. Lobna’s current roles include serving as a Family Support Facilitator at the EarlyON Child/Family Centre and as an after-school program Director. With a passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), as well as humanitarian and environmental projects, Lobna fosters creativity and innovation in her work. She values lifelong learning and is dedicated to facilitating workshops that empower educators on their learning journey.
