Use of Pronouns and More to Create Queer Positive Spaces
OPEN TO EVERYONE OVER THE AGE OF 19
This presentation describes many words associated with 2SLGBTQIA+ society. It also talks about intersex for children and the many ways that use of pronouns are important for all ages.
Gillian McLeod came out as someone who likes other girls when she was in grade 3. Over the course of her life she discovered that she was intersex so it was not terrible that she had both male and female attributes. As an adult Gillian did study and research on being queer—a name she chooses as an umbrella term for those on the continuum of gender, sexuality and attraction. Gillian has been fortunate to work in various forms of ministry—with the United Church of Canada that accepts all people, as well as a Librarian and Social Justice worker for cities and churches
