Trauma Informed Practices in Early Childhood Programs

This interactive workshop introduces early childhood educators to Trauma Sensitive Pedagogy (TSP) for creating safe, supportive, and predictable learning environments. Participants will learn how trauma affects young children’s behavior and development,
and explore practical strategies—such as co-regulation, sensory supports, and trauma sensitive communication—to respond to challenging moments with empathy and effectiveness. Through real-world scenarios, educators will practice applying TSP strengthen relationships, build trust, and promote emotional regulation in the early childhood classroom.
