Talking to Families about Developmental Concerns
As childcare providers, we see so many children and often we are the first people to notice if a child is showing challenges in one or more developmental areas.
This workshop is intended to give strategies to help providers learn how to talk to families about developmental concerns especially if a family is feeling resistant. We will also provide some resources to help providers with information to give to families when having those tough conversations.
SUITABLE FOR ALL EARLY LEARNING AND CHILD CARE PROFESSIONALS who live or work in Delta, Surrey, or White Rock.
Presenters: Pia Evans and Shawna Moores
Pia and Shawna are Supported Child Development Consultants with Reach Child and Youth Development Society in Delta. Both have extensive experience in childcare and in supported child development and have been talking to families for over 30 years collectively. They are passionate about helping families and childcare providers bridge the gap between home and daycare to provide the best care and continuity for all children.
