Strengthening Play-Based Learning, Understanding Play Pedagogies, and Working on Play Skills
The main objective of this professional development course is to strengthen Early Childhood Educators’ understanding of play-based learning and play pedagogies that reflect best practices in British Columbia. By integrating play-based learning, inquiry-based curriculum, and trauma-informed care, Ana hopes to support educators and teachers in creating inclusive and nurturing classroom environments that foster children’s learning, curiosity, social-emotional growth, and resilience.

Ana is a proud mother of three, a public speaker, a consultant, and the founder of Early Years Thriving. Since 2007 Ana has worked with children and families with complex needs using inclusive and trauma-informed approaches. Ana has a background in ECE, a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Youth Care, and is completing a Master’s in Professional Education in ECE.
