Storytelling with Granny
The Kootenay-Columbia CCRR, in collaboration with the Circle of Indigenous Nations Society, presents a two-part educator series.
In Part One:
A Make-And-Take experience, participants will construct their own hand-made Grandparent puppet. As this character comes to life, participants will be able to select and customize their own grandparent puppet. Base materials will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring items they would like to customize their puppets with.
In Part Two:
Participants will be working with Stacey O’Donnell to learn about the role of the grandparent in story telling, and will develop our own Grandparent characters to bring to life in our centres. Opportunities for drumming and sharing will also be included.
