Stories and Songs of Spring

This workshop will help refresh and rejuvenate your planning process with new ideas that support spring themed play-based, early learning activities. Plenty of rhymes and songs with children’s picture books and hands-on activities will be shared. A variety of literacy extension ideas based on the rhymes, songs and books presented will be provided as a resource. This workshop is ideal for those working with toddlers and preschool aged children.

Teri is a Program Trainer with Bookmates, a Manitoba-based family literacy organization. She has spent over 25 years developing and delivering programming for children and families. For the past twelve years her work has focused on community programs and promoting positive experiences for skill development through literacy, numeracy, physical activity, outdoor play, social interaction and more for families with children under 6 years of age. She graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Education, majoring in English with a focus on Children’s Literature.
