Sparking Self-Reflection Through Exploring Family Systems
The intention of this workshop is to introduce a new perspective on the complex emotional functioning of families by exploring the Bowen Family Systems Theory, (a leading family therapy theory), and to reflect on how our own experiences may impact our work. Participants will be introduced to the concepts of families as an emotional unit, emotional systems, anxiety binding behaviours families can fall into to manage emotions, how these patterns can affect family systems and the individuals in them, along with much mire. The values of integrity and compassion are core concepts of this workshop.
