Sign Language for Child Care Providers
Liv Meriano, M.Sc. RSLP completed her undergraduate degree in Speech Science at Brock University prior to completed her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, with a minor in Audiology, at the University of British Columbia
Signing with babies can help to reduce frustration, strengthen communication, and increase bonding pri0r to speech development. Through interactive pair and group stimulations, this workshop provides childcare providers with basic baby signs using American Sign Language to communicate everyday needs. Participants also develop keener cultural awareness and respect for the Deaf/Hard of hearing communities.
