Sensory Processing with Monica Maddison
Explore “sensory processing”, what it really means, and how this process may look different for neurodivergent children. Participants will learn the differences between hypo and hyper sensitivities.
Registration is required.
The 7 (not 5!) senses that we use to explore and regulate our environment, as well as how to adapt the environment for potential sensory processing disorder. This workshop, as always, will be following an intentional and inclusive framework in regard to how we perceive and consider neurodiverse learners in our care.
Monica has served neurodiverse children and their families for over a decade, providing therapy, consultation, and advocacy. Through Bloom Behaviour, Monica shares her inclusive practices with early years educators across Canada & US, teaching them the foundations of neurodiversity and how to create accessible and intentional spaces.
