Recognizing Children With Diverse Developmental Needs
Research says that early intervention is beneficial for a child’s development, overcoming challenges and increasing a child’s success in school and life. Identifying and providing effective early support to children is one of the roles of early childhood educators. This workshop will discuss what developmental delay/disorders are, help identify early warning signs, provide strategies for success as well as for developing effective working relationships with parents. It will also include ideas on making connections and building strong relationships with other community services and childcare programs available for families.
