Promoting STEM in Early Childhood Environments with Loose Parts – In Person Workshop

STEM teaching is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where children learn and apply concepts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Inspired by the BC Early Learning Framework in this workshop the participants will learn how to plan provocations that invite children to observe, explore, investigate, problem-solve, experiment, and design.
We will explore ways to integrate STEM language throughout the day to help children think like scientists. This workshop will help educators to understand the importance of loose parts and how to use them in various ways to promote STEM learning with young children and implement a child friendly curriculum that will prepare children for the 21st century.

Presenter: Pooja Kalsi
