Proactive Approaches to Challenging Behaviours with Debra Smith
Workshop Description: In this workshop we look into the rationale behind “behaviours” and what they are communicating to us. Why do children “act out”? What is the meaning behind the behaviour. Once we are able to understand what the child is telling us with their behaviour, we are able to respond appropriately in order to decrease or eliminate the behaviour. We all have our ways to communicate, but for some young children it can be challenging to convey their message. We will look into 4 reasons behind every behaviour that you have observed and may be challenged by. We will discuss and share strategies that have proven to be respectful and successful.
