Normal and Atypical Communication Development with Shari Linde-

This workshop is an extension of the presenter’s previous session on Normal and Atypical Speech, Language and Communication in the Preschool Years. Participants will gain more in-depth information on specific communication challenges, and strategies that they can use within their own educational settings. Specific emphasis will be placed on the following:
– disorders of the voice
– stuttering
– augmentative and alternative communication
– feeding and swallowing
– bilingual and multilingual language development
– specific strategies to facilitate communication

Shari is the director of Advantage SLP, a Speech-Language Pathology Office based out of Richmond with over 20 therapists. Therapists see clients in the Steveston office or in private homes, care facilities as well as via teletherapy. Shari has been an SLP for 28 plus years. She is on the registry of Autism Service Providers and has training in Hanen’s “It takes Two Talk”, “More Than Words” and “Talkability”. She is also trained in Natural Language Acquisition.

This workshop will be held online through the Zoom platform.
