Navigating Children’s Mental Health and Caring for the Caregiver

Heidi Preston, will be our host for the evening. Heidi works as a Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician at our local Canadian Youth and Mental Health.
A little about our presenter:
My passion for this work is fueled by a combination of experience and training in different areas: recreation, education, family services and mental health and wellness. I currently work as a Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician on the Quesnel Child and Youth Mental Health Team and am working on certification as a Play Therapist.

3 main sections we will be learning about:
• Recognizing mental health concerns in young people
• Ways to help
• Self-care and avoiding burnout
The workshop we will have some interactive activities and some presenting.
