Motivating Children Through Music and Movement

In this workshop you will learn to:
-teach culture through rhythm games, dance, percussion, and improvisation
-motivate children’s creativity and intellectual development through the stimulation provided by a different cultural context.
-utilize “home-grown” instruments: buckets, sticks, plastic bowls, jars/bags of rice or beans, spoons or your own drum!
-use the heartbeat of rhythm to propel children to celebrate their humanity

Dinner and networking at 6pm, with the workshop happening 6:30pm to 8pm.
