Mental Health at Work – Awareness & Building Resiliency

During this workshop participants will gain understanding and build comfort in talking about mental health and mental illnesses, develop an understanding of the impact the current stressors have on their well-being, learn how to recognize the signs of stress and actions they can take to respond in positive ways. The focus will be on reducing stigma and gaining more knowledge and exploring practical ways to develop mental resilience, as well as how to support co-workers who may be experiencing poor mental health.

Suitable for Adult Instructors/Administrators ECE students, intermediate and experienced early care and learning professionals working with children of all ages, from infants/toddlers to school age children, including children with extra support needs.

Facilitator: Lucette Wesley

Lucette is a consultant and CMHA Master Trainer in various workplace mental health programs and the Psychological Health and Safety Advisor program and has over 25 years of experience as manager/director of large disability claims operations responsible for up to 200 staff. Lucette has been a long-time supporter of the CMHA as a Steering Committees member for the Bottom Line Conference and Women & Wellness events. She is Past President of the BC Collaborative for Disability Prevention and the BC Lymphedema Association where she previously was an Editorial Board member for the national magazine Pathways.
