Let’s Build Together – An Introduction to Woodworking with Children

This introductory workshop is directed towards the ECE community in the Victoria area. The goal of this workshop is to provide educators with a base understanding of how a woodworking component could be added to their respective curriculums. The far reaching benefits and positive learning impacts from woodworking are incredibly rewarding for both educators and children. There will be tool demonstrations, as well as discussion, offering insight into the various opportunities and challenges that arise when woodworking with small children. Participants will experience building with found materials, similar to what the children at Tree of Life do every week.
