In-Person: Thriving Environments

In this workshop, we will examine how to create classroom setups that foster children’s growth from their perspective. We’ll explore strategies to establish an inclusive space where every child feels they belong.

The workshop is divided into three parts. We begin by examining our own classroom, discussing the behaviors we observe among children and identifying any missing puzzle pieces. Often, behaviors serve as a form of communication and the environment can contribute to these challenges.

Next, we will assess the classroom to determine if the content resonates with the children.

Finally, we will put a plan in place. Participants will receive tools to support their journey every step of the way. Our classrooms, acting as our third teacher, will be examined through open discussions, allowing us to transform theory into practice.

Suitable for students, adult instructors/administrators, intermediate and experienced early care and learning professionals working with children of all ages, from infants/toddlers to school age children, including children with extra support needs.
