Implementing DEI – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace with Lobna Ajaini

In this workshop, educators will learn various strategies to create a workplace that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive and foster a comprehensive DEI approach that involves everyone in the organization. In this workshop, educators will also think about different examples of biases and their impacts in the ECE workplace, based on real-life experiences and scenarios that would lead to a discussion and reflection. This workshop can be helpful for educators, as it will support them with different strategies, steps to promote DEI and self-test to address bias in the workplace. The facilitator is located in ON, Canada.

Lobna Ajaini is an Early Childhood Leader with an Honours Bachelor in Early  Childhood Leadership Degree and Early Childhood Education Diploma from Sheridan College. She is currently completing a Master of Professional Education in ECE through Western University. Lobna is a multi-award-winning educator who received the 2022 Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Research Award, the 2019 Sylvia Leal Leadership Award and the 2016 Davis Campus Commemorative Award. She currently works as a Family Support Facilitator at EarlyON Child/Family Centre and after school program Director. Lobna is passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), humanitarian and environmental community projects, creativity and innovation. She values lifelong learning and facilitating workshops to empower educators and families.

This workshop will be held online through the Zoom platform.
