In this workshop, we’ll explore an essential tool that helps us build strong relationships and clear communication with families — our Parent Handbook. The handbook is often a family’s first glimpse into who we are. It shares our story, our philosophy, and what families can expect when they join our centre. We’ll look at how it aligns with BC childcare regulations, reflects our shared values, and supports consistency, trust, and collaboration. Together, we’ll discuss what information matters most to families, how to present it in a clear and welcoming way, and how to make the handbook more than just paperwork — a living, meaningful guide that connects educators and families.
