STEM Learning with Loose Parts in ECE Programs
STEM teaching is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where children learn and apply concepts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. In this workshop participants will learn how to plan provocations that invite children to observe, explore, investigate, problem-solve, experiment, and design.
We will explore ways to integrate STEM language throughout the day to help children think like scientists. This workshop will help early childhood educators understand the importance of loose parts and how to use them in various ways to promote the STEM learning with young children and implement a child friendly curriculum.
