Empowering Educators and Creating a Cohesive ECE Team

In this workshop, participants will learn how to gain a deeper understanding of each team member’s communication style, set shared goals, and foster a respectful and collaborative work environment. This workshop will provide the tools necessary to build a strong, supportive team. Additionally, this workshop will address the critical support needed to retain and empower early learning practitioners in the creation of a positive workplace culture. Participants will leave feeling empowered and motivated to apply their newfound knowledge and skills to their day-to-day practices, ultimately benefiting the children and families they serve. Offered in collaboration with the Justice Education Society of BC. Project funded by Women & Gender Equality (WAGE) Canada, “Increasing Access to Quality Child Care in BC”.

Suitable for ECE students, adult instructors/administrators, intermediate and experienced early care and learning professionals working with children of all ages and abilities, from infants/toddlers to school age children.

Facilitator(s): Zina Abdulla

Zina has over 20 years of experience as an educator, working with children and families in different settings. She has completed her BA in Child and Youth Care and spent 6 years as a college instructor teaching the early childhood education program. She is very passionate about finding ways to promote children’s creativity and exploration. Her goal is now to support early years professionals through collaborative learning and workshops.
