Embracing and Navigating Challenging Conversations with Primary Caregivers, Parents, and Guardians – Online Workshop
The relationships ECE’s and primary caregivers, parents, and guardians create, permeates the work ECE’s do with children; this is always the case. Primary caregivers, parents, and guardians and their children in our programs are never independent of each other, they are always a package deal!
We will engage in conversation about times when ECEs’ relationships with primary caregivers, parents, and guardians feel strained, challenging, or even scary. How do we navigate these times and these conversations with primary caregivers, parents, and guardians? We will explore practical strategies for framing and working through tough moments and conversations with families with the goal of creating and maintaining respectful, supportive, and joyful connections between some of the most important individuals in a child’s life during the child care years.
