What are the big ideas in early mathematics? In the session, Janice will share the big ideas in early
mathematics such as counting, decomposing, spatial reasoning, and patterning. She will share how
these ideas develop over the years, and the materials and experiences that can support the
development of these ideas with children in both indoor and outdoor contexts. Ideas and resources for
families will also be shared.
