Discover the Outdoors in Autumn
Back to school and back to the great outdoors! What’s up in the fall? Our ecosystems are still very busy and learning to adapt to our longer, warmer summers. Hundreds of birds are starting to migrate south on the Pacific Flyway. Resources are starting to decline for pollinators and the leaf crunching season has opened. During this 4-hour session participants will:

Benefits of fungi and mushrooms, edible and poisonous
Autumn blooms including sunflowers, sunflower seeds and the birds they attract
Dispel the myths and explain the benefits of spiders
Learn about related activities and resources
Well-being and Belonging.
Engagement with others, materials, and the world
Joy in relationships with people, place, materials and ideas.
Every child is a gift.
Interests and inquiries.
Spaces, objects, and materials.
Reconnection to land, place.
Time for engagement.
Suitable for ECE students, parents, adult instructors/administrators, intermediate and experienced early care and learning professionals working with children of all ages, from infants/toddlers to school age children, including children with extra support needs.
