Developmental Differences & Difficult Conversations
Participants will further explore developmental milestones and will learn how to identify and support differences. Discuss and practice objective documentation and how to have those difficult conversations with families once a concern is identified. Learn how to develop partnerships with families by exploring their priorities, values, and backgrounds.
Karen has over 25 years of experience working with children from birth to nineteen years of age in childcare and community settings. Throughout her career her focus has been on inclusion for all children. She is a licensed Early Childhood Educator, Infant/Toddler Educator and Special Needs Educator. She has spent 17 years working as a Supported Child Development Consultant and is currently the ECE program chair at Ridge Meadows College.
