Communities of Inclusion

In this facilitated discussion, we will dive into the topic of inclusion. We invite educators to come together to share and explore new perspectives, insights and ideas on inclusion in child care programs. Bring your bold ideas, questions and areas of struggle! Let’s do this together.

The focus of our first session will be:

• Inclusion vs Integration
• What is needed to create fully inclusive care?
• How do we make our spaces ready to welcome any child?
• What does inclusion look like? Feel like?

We will also be joined by local Art Therapist and Early Childhood Educator, Karen Thomas, who will offer us some journal prompts and some creative journaling techniques. (Journal and materials provided). The hope is that you will use this journal in your work as educator and throughout the sessions.
