Communities of Inclusion: Understanding Behaviours: Getting Through the Hard Stuff

Join us for the third session in our Inclusion Circle series as we work together to understand behaviour and the important roles of self and co-regulation in supporting young children.

Learn to be a ‘Behavior Detective’ by reflecting on situations (like aggression or challenging transitions) to uncover the root causes of behavior.

Some topics we will discuss:

  • Behavior Investigation: Getting curious about the reasons behind some common behaviour challenges
  • Image of the child: How this can affect how we react in the moment
  • Actionable Strategies: Let’s discuss practical, in-the-moment suggestions for aggressive behaviors (hitting, throwing, etc.) and effective supports during transitions.
  • Complex Scenarios: We want to learn together! Bring your scenarios and tap into the group’s collective knowledge and experience.

We want to know what’s coming up for you! Bring your questions and challenges to dig in to with the group.

We are excited to have a rich discussion together and share resources..
