Instructor: Glenda Burrows

Glenda has been an early childhood educator (ECE) since 1985 and since receiving her ECE has been a member of the “Early Childhood Educators of BC” where she is an active board member, currently in the position of Vice Chair and continues to adn required  vocate for quality childcare and for educators to be compensated for their work. Glenda has worked in several early years’ positions in her career, and these have taken her to many Urban and rural places in BC including remote fly in only Indigenous communities. Glenda has worked as an ECE in licensed childcare programs, has been a coordinator/training coordinator for CCRR programs and has been a licensing officer for 26 years until her recent retirement in April 2023. Glenda was seconded to the Ministry of Health to assist with the revision of the Community Care Facilities licensing regulations for both Residential and Child Care. Glenda works part time now and shares her wealth of knowledge with early childhood educators as an early childhood consultant and presenter.
