Caregiver Mental Health: Building Resilience and Well-Being

Caring for others—whether as a parent, educator, or mental health professional—can be deeply rewarding, yet emotionally taxing. This workshop is designed to support caregivers by offering practical tools and strategies to strengthen mental health and build resilience. Led by Registered Psychologist and Play Therapist Supervisor Tammy Schamuhn, the session will explore the psychological impacts of caregiving, including stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue. Participants will learn about the importance of self-care, setting healthy boundaries, and recognizing signs of emotional exhaustion. Drawing from evidence-based practices, attendees will leave with techniques to manage stress, foster emotional well-being, and maintain a balanced lifestyle in both their personal and
professional lives.
