Building Positive Relationships
This session will examine three areas:
- What are the ways to develop a “group” effectively? A group could be formed of preschoolers, colleagues, a family, what are the characteristics of an effective group?
- How do we build effective developmental relationships? Young people are more likely to grow up successfully when they experience developmental relationships with important people in their lives.
- What can we do to build self confidence in young people? We will examine the three-legged stool of self-confidence, understand the difference between praise and encouragement, and look at practical ways to develop a positive view of self.
