Building Connection to Place: Relationship and Reciprocity in Early Childhood with Jade Berrill

Join Jade for an interactive workshop that will inspire and engage you and those in your care to build relationships with your place. Tying in key pedagogy (in simple to understand and implement ways) this workshop will share how to integrate imaginative education and inquiry into your work to improve on academic, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing in your young people.

The workshop will share hands-on activities and resources to deepen your connection, including the incorporation of Indigenous perspectives. Utilizing interviews from our podcast (with Indigenous creators/educators) and information from her Indigenous education mentors, Jade will share her perspective on what non-Indigenous educators can do to incorporate these ideas into their work (in an appropriate way). Whether connected to story, how we speak or interact with nature or simple language acquisition, we hope you will take something powerful from being a part of this workshop.

This workshop will be held online through the Zoom platform.

You will need access to a laptop, tablet or computer with a camera or audio capabilities to join us.

A link to the presentation will be emailed to you the day before the workshop. Please click the link ten minutes before the workshop begins to join us. Further instructions will be included in the email.
