Our presenter, Wendy, will be joining us from our Surrey office, offering a more hands on experience.

The Internet is awash with ideas for hands-on, one-off activities that children have a lot of fun doing but have you been left wondering what they are learning or how you can extend these activities into open-ended inquiries that give children time to explore and build on their ideas?

If so, this is the workshop for you. We will explore how to use diverse materials that build from initial provocations into multi-week inquiries. This is a practical workshop with a combination of hands-on investigation, discussion in groups and rapid idea generation. The goal is to energize you for inquiry-based learning and be ready to plan an approach for your setting.

Presenter: Wendy Lorch

Wendy is an educator with experience working with children in a variety of cool settings including a museum, science centre, botanical garden and park. With extensive experience in program development and building kits of learning materials, Wendy’s passion is helping busy educators by sharing her learnings and ideas through fun, hands-on workshops.
