This module will be tailored to provide Early Childhood Educators with an introduction to BC Employment Laws and their basic legal concepts.
At the completion of the module, ECE educators will be able to ascertain the following:
Identify what laws apply to their employment situation.
Understand their fundamental rights and responsibilities from a hiring interview to being hired, and signing a contract
Rights during employment (minimum standards for hours, vacation, overtime)
Leave entitlements, such as maternity and parental leave
