Anti-Racism and Allyship from Indigenous Perspective – Online Workshop

To show our support of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we are offering this workshop at no cost to help you in your learning journey. As a program, Child Care Options CCRR continues our work in regard to Truth and Reconciliation by embodying the Calls to Action from the TRC and the UNDRIP, adopted by the Government of BC. One of our commitments is to educate ourselves and pass that education on to others.

In this presentation, participants will learn about anti-racism and allyship through an Indigenous lens. What are some of the systems in Canada that have negatively impacted Indigenous peoples? What can we do as childhood educators to decolonize the educational experiences of the families we serve? What does it mean to be an ally? What does it look like?

Presenter: Nadine McSpadden
