Ages & Stages Questionnaires® Training
Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ) is a set of questionnaires that provide a quick check on children’s development in the areas of communication, physical ability, social skills, and problem solving skills. The questionnaires are completed by parents and can help identify a child’s strengths as well as any areas where support may be needed. The completed questionnaire is returned for review by ASQ® trained professionals who are able to interpret and share the results with the parent(s), as well as determine if follow up is needed.
Why check on a child’s development? Because the first 6 years are critical to a healthy mind and body for life. Checking on young children’s development helps to:
– Make sure children are growing and learning well
– Identify strengths as well as areas that may need practice
– Make sure children are off to the best possible start
This one-day session for child care providers and early years professionals will cover implementing, scoring, interpreting results and discussing those results with parents for both the Third Edition (ASQ®-3), and Ages & Stages Questionnaires®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition (ASQ®:SE-2).
Spaces are limited, register early to avoid disappointment. Limit of 3 per CCRR Group Child Care Centre
Lunch and snacks are included for this in person training.
