Join us for a day of exploration and documentation as we take a deeper dive into what it means to engage with art materials.  In keeping with requests for discussion-based, collective, hands-on learning experiences, this workshop will begin with a presentation about how materials and environment can be viewed as the “third teacher”, and how thoughtful engagement with materials can be so much more than making art.  We will engage with several forms of art supplies: charcoal, chalk, watercolour, clay, wire, pencil, marker and pastel.  We will have a chance to document our process with photography and reflect on our experience.

This will be a day of fun, connection and discovery, including a catered lunch, and a stroll/tour around the Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens.
