Getting Comfortable with Pedagogy in Early Years Practice

This workshop breaks down what pedagogy is and how it shows up in everyday practice.
We discuss the BC ELF, pedagogical choices and we focus on empowerment as we
highlight all the pedagogy we embody daily. This workshop discusses the origins and
meaning of pedagogy, how it shows up in ECE settings, and all the ways we embody
pedagogy daily. We use the BC ELF to examine pedagogical choices and then we go back
to basics, dismantle academic jargon, and advocate for our professionalism in the child
care field. This workshop will leave participants empowered, and with deeper
understandings of how we walk through pedagogy in our day to day lives on the floor.
