DESCRIPTION:This interactive and hands-on workshop explores creative, practical and inclusive ways to transform circle time into an engaging and meaningful learning experience. Participants will discover how to bring stories to life using props, puppets, music, movement and loose parts, supporting children’s social, emotional and cognitive development.\nDesigned for educators who feel stuck or overwhelmed during group time and are looking for fresh, flexible circle-time ideas, along with ways to increase engagement and participation through play-based, inquiry-driven, and culturally responsive approaches.\nPresenters: Nida Fatima and Jasmine Chou\nNida is an early childhood educator with 18+ years of experience, known for her culturally responsive, inclusive, and relationship-based approach. She supports children’s well-being, educator–family partnerships, and mentors educators in play-based & outdoor learning through ECEBC’s Learn Outside Together program.\nJasmine is a nature-focused educator guided by forest school philosophy and place-based learning. Since 2015, she has worked in diverse settings and is committed to outdoor education mentoring, fostering environmental stewardship.\nNotes:\n-Doors open at 6:00 pm.\n-Arrive by 6:00 PM to enjoy networking opportunities and earn up to an additional 30 minutes of professional development before the workshop begins.\n
