DESCRIPTION:This presentation will provide an overview of your legal duty to report when you, as an Early Childhood Educator, come across situations where you have reason to believe that a child or youth has been, or there is a likelihood that they will be abused or neglected. This workshop hopes to increase understanding of children protection services, mandate, and what it looks like when a report is received and a social worker follows up with a family, so participants learn more about the Ministry of Education & Child Care’s role.
