SUMMARY:Creating Magical Spaces: Inspiring Early Childhood Environments
DESCRIPTION:Description\nCreating environments that invite curiosity, exploration, discovery, and play is both an art and an intentional practice. Meaningful spaces are grounded in a strong image of the child as capable and curious. They centre the child, incorporate natural elements, and foster a sense of belonging, safety, and well-being. Responsive to children’s interests and needs, these environments encourage active participation, creativity, and joyful engagement. Join us as we explore inspiring and practical ways to bring these spaces to life. From a thoughtfully placed plant to a cozy, a softly lit calming space, a space for active play or a multi-dimensional sensory play, to the energy we bring as educators—every detail matters. When we design with intention and wonder, we create environments that reflect both the children and ourselves. No two spaces are the same, yet each can become a meaningful and magical place for play, connection, and growth.\n \nAbout Tina Geers\nTina is the owner of Inspired Minds ECC, a play advocate, certified Playarista, coach and mentor, and early childhood educator for over 23 years. She holds a diploma in Early Learning and Child Care, a BA(Hons) in Educational Studies in Early Childhood and is continuing her education with a Master’s in Education. Her experience and background in early learning and childcare have given her a passion for play, nurturing children’s learning and growth and supporting educators on their learning journey. She is there to support other passionate early childhood educators on their journey of igniting their passion for play in the early years. She is also the founder and president of a nonprofit play advocacy group, Play Connection Network (AECPCN), a member of the World Forum Working Group on Play, and a member of the International Play Association, AECEA and CCCF. Join her as we discover the passion of Play!\n \n \n
