DESCRIPTION:In this workshop, you are invited to explore inclusive, reflective, and relationship-based pedagogical approaches when working with newcomer and immigrant families. Through dialogue, storytelling, and practical examples, participants will examine the role of home language, respectful communication with families, and diverse ways of sharing information, such as community conversations. The session highlights what newcomer families may experience upon arriving in Canada, including fear, identity shifts, and resilience.
